Capitalism Lost...
So it has become known to a certain moose that the department of Justice has just fined the search engine Google 500 million dollars for allowing Canadian pharmacies to advertise in the US. Several thoughts immediately come to mind and I will lay them out here:
If corporations, the new people, can go to other countries to get cheap labor why can't old, flesh and blood, people do the same. Isn't that what capitalism is about? The more competition there is the lower the prices the better off the consumer. Shouldn't we be asking why did this action not reduce pharmaceutical prices in the US?
So if the department of justice and by extension the government of the united states does not support healthy competition then we are no longer a capitalistic country. Which is fine be a moose and if we are now a socialistic government should we not use this 500 million dollars in new revenue to put people back to work improving their communities and infrastructure.
It makes sense to a moose.
